All item numbers have 4 digits. 11-inch disc numbers start with 3xxx, 12 1/4-inch start with 5xxx, and 15-1/2-inch start with 8xxx. See the song list to find item numbers. These discs are extremely durable and will seem to last forever. All Porter Discs are made of fine steel then copper plated to prevent the steel from corroding, as well as, enhance their good looks. They are then lacquered which keeps the copper plate from oxidizing. What is the history of A Time to Remember? Mel Taylor worked as an engineer for IBM for over 30 years. Upon retirement he trained as a clockmaker and is currently a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) and American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute (AWCI).
